Decameron Restaurant & Beer Garden, was founded in 1987. From 2006-2010 the entire building was revamped. Owned and run by Mario Ladu (founder, see his picture below), Andrea and Luigi, who joined in 1995.

Decameron's philosophy on food is about authentic Italian dishes simply prepared from quality ingredients and fresh produce.

Decameron Restaurant has a large clientele of regular patrons, made up of business people and families alike.

At the main entrance to the restaurant, in true mediterranean style, is a large shaded Wine garden.

Inside, the walls are decked with a massive array of paintings and prints of Italian origin and the Renaissance period. The ambience inside is rich and warm, and as you walk through the doors you are impressed by a distinctly Italian aroma, fresh baked breads, pizzas (made in the wood fired pizza oven) and home made pasta's.

Umami is out of sight and off the beaten track but its a secret well kept among the locals and tourists that frequent it.

Umami, there is no English word for it, but "umami", a savoury flavour, is best translated as "deliciousness." This deliciousness is the focus of every dish when preparing your food.
